24/7 Prayer for Hope

I failed to post this earlier...sorry!  I have taken a day of rest from the hospital and have nothing to report!  I've only heard that Hope is doing well, has been passing out smiles and fairly settled today.  For anyone interested, 24/7 prayer is happening for Hope again.  Here is the sign up sheet:

Thank you to everyone that is praying for our girl, the best Christmas gift for our family.

  1. I've been following your blog as we are expecting a baby boy in march with HLHS and your little Hope has given me a lot more hope than I originally began this journey with. I pray for your family often and my biggest hope is that when we enter our hospital days that I don't have the opportunity to meet you because you are at home, with your family all together enjoying both your girls! Merry Christmas and may the new year bring your family many blessings!

    1. Feel free to email me if you have any questions or just want to vent your feelings. I'd be more than happy to meet you at the hospital one day if you'd like too. amyakoslowski@gmail.com

  3. Amy, I've been following your blog since Hope's surgery in November. Our daughter-in-law is Melanna and she has told us about your family. I wished I had started reading the blog earlier as it takes a long time to go back and read everything to catch up, but it is an incredible read and through all your honesty and roller coaster of emotions you always come back to your trust in the Lord.

We are praying for all of you. I know this isn't an easy Christmas for you. All the traditions and things you like to do have been stripped away and you are left with the true meaning of Christmas, that Jesus came to this fallen world to be our Savior, our Rescuer, our only hope. I trust that in years to come you will be able to look back at this Christmas with a special appreciation for what you have learned.

I know it's the Christmas season, but I can't tell you how many times I've seen and noticed the word "hope". I've seen it songs, decorations, newspaper headlines, and each time it jumps out at me and I think of Hope and pray for her.

Although some of us are busy with Christmas activities, I want you to know you are not forgotten. While I'm working around my house today preparing for tomorrow, I've been listening to Christmas CDs. An older CD came on and it had the song "Lord I offer my life to you, everything I've been through, use it for Your glory." I immediately thought of your family as I listened. I know from your blog that this is your desire.

Along with praying for Hope, I pray for Sadie and our granddaughters (who pray everyday for her) and other children who know of Hope, that they would know our God is a loving Heavenly Father who hears and answers prayers.

May you know God's presence this Christmas.

  5. I love and agree with the prayers above. :) Can't seem to connect with the sign-up sheet (my browser is just being slow I think) but know that here is one more person praying for your family this season.
